Checked Alpaca Wool Throw Lava

The throw named Lava is bombastic and warm, just like the volcanic lava it is named after; one of nature's most fascinating phenomena. The material is a mix of soft alpaca wool with a small amount of nylon, but it's the yarn that gives the surface its special character. It's a bouclé type, characterised by small loops that give extra volume and create a characteristic fluffy surface that retains warmth without compromising on lightness. Lava is woven from the finest alpaca quality with a small amount of nylon mixed in for durability. In general, alpaca fibres are known to be softer, more durable and better at heat regulation than other natural fibres, and alpaca wool throws and cushions also fluff minimally, which means they typically last longer than similar materials. The wool is also hypoallergenic as it contains no lanolin, making it suitable for allergy sufferers.
